The Friends of The Wisdom Hospice is a Charity dedicated to supporting the work of the Wisdom Hospice, providing specialised end of life care and support to local people, their families, friends and carers whether at home, in the hospice or hospital. The Wisdom Hospice, in High Bank, Rochester, was opened in 1984 and was named after Molly Wisdom who had raised money for the building of a Hospice in Medway, even though she herself was dying of cancer. Today, the Hospice provides palliative and end of life care for patients with life-limiting illness in Medway and Swale, whilst offering support, counselling and advice to family members. The service is run by Medway Community Healthcare and is primarily funded by the NHS, together with an annual grant of £580,000 from the Friends of the Wisdom Hospice. The pressures for savings within the NHS leads to requests for increased financial support from The Friends for the work of the hospice.
Hemsley House Day Nursery, in Maidstone. Established 1986. Dedicated to providing the very best in childcare.
Thank you for looking at our online prospectus regarding our day nursery, one of the most established in Maidstone, Kent with many years experience in childcare and now one of the few independent nurseries in the area.
The Units at Hemsley House are divided into three key areas of development being the Baby Unit, the Toddler Unit and the Early Years Unit. We feel this is an important aspect of our nursery where each individual age group will get the care and attention that they require and deserve, rather than children of all age groups sharing accommodation.
We have recently been awarded a STRONG GOOD in all areas from OFSTED and the top ‘5 star’ food hygiene rating in the Government’s ‘scores on the doors’ inspections.
We invest in and constantly update all the latest equipment to aid your child’s learning process, including an IT area, which has 4 computers
