Philip initially worked in the Pathology Laboratory Department of the NHS as a Medical Scientist, where he attained a Fellowship. He then retrained and in 1990 and graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic. He is registered with the General Chiropractic Council and the British Chiropractic Association.
Subsequently, he attended further training courses to graduate as an Medical Acupuncturist in 1998, and is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society he is also qualified in Electro-Acupuncture.
He is one of the very few Chiropractors & Acupuncturists in the country that are recognised and contracted to work for the NHS (The latter being by direct GP referral in the Whitstable Area Practices).
