Ice skating is a favourite festive activity for families, couples, and friends alike. It’s the perfect way to embrace the colder months, and do something a little different. So if you’re planning on taking to the ice this winter, here are some of Kent’s best festive ice rinks.
Bluewater
Where: Bluewater Shopping Centre
When: 16th November 2017 – 7th January 2018
Bluewater’s ice rink is always a popular one, thanks to its convenient location and magical set up. The rink is decorated with tinsel, Christmassy lights, and an impressive Christmas tree in the centre of the ice rink.
Whether you pride yourself on your skating skills and like to show off your tricks, or you prefer clinging to the side, Bluewater’s ice rink caters to everyone.
There are fun festive skating aids for the little ones, or skating lessons for those that want to impress.
Tunbridge Wells, Calverley Grounds
Where: Calverley Grounds, Tunbridge Wells
When: 17th November 2017 – 1st January 2018
This ice rink is a good choice for those who like plenty of space to show off their moves. That’s not to say that it’s not suitable for beginners though, as you’ll still get to enjoy the use of skating aids.
The Tunbridge Wells ice rink is often a family favourite, as Santa sometimes likes to make an appearance, and pose for photos with children. The price also includes much more than just some time on the ice. You’ll leave the ice rink with a photograph, and if you’ve got children, a children’s gift.
Eastwell Manor, Ashford
Where: Eastwell Manor, Ashford
When: 1st December 2017 – 1st January 2018
Eastwell Manor is a truly impressive location, so you can imagine how magical this ice rink is going to be! You can skate in the mansions gardens, whilst taking in the beautiful surroundings.
The mansion is also going to be hosting festive family fun days, so plan ahead for a grand day out with all the family.
White Cliffs Christmas, Dover
Where: Cruise Terminal One, Dover
When: 25th November 2017 – 1st January 2018
White Cliffs Christmas is a fun event for all ages. There will be a Christmas market to browse, a festive bar where you can stop for a festive drink, and a Santa’s grotto for the little ones. And that’s before we’ve even mentioned the ice rink!
The ice rink is even bigger than last year, so there’s plenty of room to spin, twirl and race across the ice. And the historic setting of the ice rink only makes it even more magical.
