It’s back to school, college and university for many this week, but for those who still have some spare time to enjoy local events, here’s what’s on in Kent this week.
positively NUDE
When: 4th-10th January, 6pm-8pm
Where: Nucleus Arts, Chatham
This is a slightly different art exhibition by Nigel Rudkin. The exhibition will be a celebration of big and beautiful women. It’s a truly interesting and empowering exhibition, so it’s definitely worth a visit!
An Evening Of Burlesque
When: Friday 12th January, 7:30pm – 10pm
Where: Hazlitt Theatre and Arts Centre, Maidstone
This over 18s event is full of talent, quirky costumes, and glamour. This Burlesque show is set to be fun, artistic, and mesmerising.
Wind in the Willows
When: Saturday 13th January, 6pm
Where: Godmersham and Crundale Village Hall, Ashford
This well known and much loved tale will be performed in Ashford this Saturday, by the award winning theatre company, Box Tale Soup. If you’re a fan of the beautiful story, this is an event not to miss.
Rough Common Antique and Vintage Fair
When: Sunday 14th January, 9:30am-3pm
Where: Rough Common Village Hall, Canterbury
Browse antiques and vintage items at Rough Common this weekend, and you might just find yourself a bargain item with a history. It’s a good chance to learn more about local history, and explore items from the past.
If you had some of your own vintage or antique items that you’d like to sell, contact the organisers and there may be still be space for trade stalls.
Pratts Bottom Model Railway Exhibition
When: Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th January, 10am-5pm
Where: Pratts Bottom Village Hall
This is a quirky event for children and adult train lovers alike. You can explore model railway exhibits, or even take part in workshops and make your own model scenery pieces. There’s only a small entrance fee of £1.50 for children, and £3.50 for adults.
