What’s On In Kent This Week?

There’s a whole range of events on in Kent this week, from art displays to Christmas Lights celebrations. Here’s a list of some of Kent’s top events this week.

hART SPLASH 2017

When: 11th-19th November, 10am-4pm

Where: The Old Pool Studio, Hythe

hART is a group of professional artists from Hythe and Romney Marsh, and hART SPLASH 2017 is their annual showcase event. You can view a range of original paintings and you’ll have the opportunity to buy prints and cards (at a good price!).

It’s free to enter, and 10% of the sales made will be donated to the Pilgrims Hospice Charity in Ashford.

Shakespeare Schools Festival

When: 16th-17th November 7pm-9pm

Where: Theatre Royal, Margate

Shakespeare’s stories are being brought to life in Margate by 7 different schools. The festival will run from Thursday 16th November to Friday 17th November, and it’s a must see for Shakespeare enthusiasts and those looking to support the young performers.

KM Big Charity Quiz

When: Friday 17th November

Where: Maidstone Leisure Centre

This is a fun event for you to do with your family or friends. Everyone loves a quiz, and at the KM Big Charity Quiz you’ll have the chance to have a drink at the same time, and raise money for charity by doing so!

Christmas Fair In Aid Of Hospice In The Weald

When: Saturday 18th November, 10am-12pm

Where: URC Church Hall, Rusthall

If you’re ready to start getting in the Christmas mood, this might be the perfect way to spend your Saturday.  Enjoy lucky dips, raffles, Christmas goodies and gifts to browse and buy, and of course, there are delicious festive refreshments on offer. As if all that wasn’t appealing enough, the entire event is in aid of Hospice In The Weald.

Dartford Christmas Lights

When: Saturday 18th November, 2:15pm-6pm

Where: Dartford High Street

Now that Halloween and Bonfire night are over, the countdown to Christmas has begun. And this event is a countdown to the moment that Dartford switches on its Christmas lights. There will be performances and family entertainment throughout the High Street, and giveaways and activities to take part in. It’s a great family afternoon and evening.

Turning On The Christmas Lights In Kent

Women’s Stories: A Day Of Mindful Writing, Yoga and Meditation

When: Saturday 18th November, 10am-4pm

Where: Canterbury Yoga, Highfield House, Summer Hill, Harbledown

If you fancy yourself the mindful or creative type, this could be the perfect day for you. This is an event where you can reflect, relax, and get creative in mindful writing exercises.
