This week we’re waving goodbye to November and welcoming in December, the month of Christmas. It’s time for that first advent calendar window to be opened! Here’s what else is going on in Kent this week.
Luxury Christmas Fair
When: Thursday 30th November – Friday 1st December
Where: Hotel Du Vin, Tunbridge Wells
You’re probably familiar with Christmas Fairs, but this one has a slight spin, it’s going to be a lot more luxurious than your average Christmas Fair.
There will be over 50 exhibitors at this event, and you’ll get to browse luxury festive gifts whilst taking in the historical décor of the hotel and its tea rooms. And of course, there’ll be plenty of food and drink on offer.
A Day of Meditation
When: Friday 1st December, 9:30am-4:30pm
Where: Aylesford Priory
If you’re in the mood for a peaceful and spiritual Friday, this is the perfect event for you. It’s no accident that this event falls just before Christmas, as the idea is to clear and calm your mind before the inevitable Christmas rush.
The Great Xmas Party
When: Friday 1st December, 7pm
Where: Chichester Memorial Hall, Sandgate
Everyone loves a Christmas party, and this one is one of Kent’s best. You can enjoy a glass or two of mulled wine, some nibbles to munch on, and a delicious home cooked Christmas dinner. It’s a ‘bring your own drinks’ party, with glasses provided, and all profits will go towards improving the Chichester Hall.
Artisan Christmas Gift Fair
When: Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd December, 10am-5pm
Where: Canterbury Tales
This free Christmas fair is one you don’t want to miss. There’ll be dozens of local artisans selling crafts and goods, and even performing arts and crafts demonstrations.
Christmas Concert, Cobham Community Choir
When: Saturday 2nd December, 4pm
Where: Cobham Hall
Cobham Community Choir are putting on a family friendly Christmas Concert, where you can enjoy Christmas music of all eras. And the best part is, free refreshments are included in the ticket price!
