What’s On In Kent This Week?

It’s now the first week of October, Autumn is in full swing, and so are this week’s events and attractions in Kent. If you’re looking for the perfect outing, be it a day trip or a night out, there’s a lot going on this week so you’ll have a fair few options to choose from.

Here are some of this week’s top things to do and see.

Comedy Club With Carl Donnelly – Shepherd Neame Visitor Centre

Date: 5th October

Fancy a night of laughter? This is the event for you. Carl Donnelly is an award-winning stand-up comedian, and he’s coming to Kent!

Comedy Club is the perfect opportunity to have a hilarious night out, and forget about everyday stresses. There’ll also be supporting acts, so you’ll have the chance to laugh at a whole range of different jokes.

Dire Straits UK – Tribute Act – Tunbridge Wells Assembly Hall

Date: 5th October

This event is taking ‘throwback Thursday’ to a whole new level. The Dire Straits haven’t performed since the 1990s, but that doesn’t stop us still listening to their songs occasionally, and falling in love with them all over again.

If you’re a Dire Straits fan you’ll be pleased to hear you can listen to their songs live, here in Kent, performed by a tribute act!

Monthly Family Golf Afternoon – Poult Wood

Date: 7th October

If one of your family members is under 16 years old, this is a fun and cheap day out for the whole family. You’ll get to play on 9 different holes, from 1pm to 6pm. The best part is, it’s only £20 for a family of 4, inclusive of all equipment!

Whether you’re an experienced golfer, or it’s your first time ever even holding a golf club, the family golf afternoon welcomes families of all abilities. You can have fun with your family and try out a new sport, without a worry in the world!

Apple and Cider Fayre – Kent Life

Date: 7th-8th October 2017

There are so many Autumn recipes that can be made with deliciously sweet apples, and cider is the perfect drink this time of year. The apple and cider fayre this weekend will have several varieties of apples, ciders and juices on sale. You’ll even get a free apple cookbook!

As if that wasn’t enough to make a great event, there will also be live music, demonstrations showing the process of apple pressing, Morris dancers, art and crafts, and activities like tractor rides for the children. So this event might just be the perfect way to spend the weekend with your family.
