What’s On In Kent This Week?

It’s the first week back to school after half term, but that doesn’t mean that the half term fun has to stop right away. It’s also the week of Halloween and Bonfire night, so as you can imagine, there’s a fair amount going on in Kent this week.

The Addams Family, The Musical Comedy

When: 31st October-1st November
Where: The Orchard Theatre, Dartford

The Addams Family is a well loved film, a Halloween classic, and now you can watch the musical comedy version on stage right here in Kent. There will be performances at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford, from Tuesday to Saturday, starring Les Dennis, Eastenders’ star Samantha Womack, and Carrie Hope Fletcher. This is a performance not to be missed.

Fort Amerherst Halloween Horrors

When: 30th-31st October
Where: Fort Amerherst, Chatham

If you fancy being scared senseless, head to Fort Amerherst for their Halloween Horrors in the tunnels. It’s not all about indulging in terror though, as there’ll also be a BBQ, bar, and a fun fair. This also an event that everyone can enjoy, as there are different times, and levels of scariness, for all ages.

Kent Ghost Stories for Halloween with Neil Arnold

When: 31st October 7pm
Where: Pluckley Village Hall

If you love hearing scary stories, where better to hear them than in the country’s most haunted village? And who better to tell them than Neil Arnold, a Kent author and folklorist?

Head to Pluckley Village Hall on Tuesday 31st October, and you’ll hear all about some of Kent’s spookiest myths.

Bonfire Night Events This Week

Bonfire Night falls on a Sunday this year, which means that there aren’t too many Bonfire Night Events that are actually on the 5th November. However, this could be a blessing in disguise, as rather than all of the county’s events falling on the same day, they’re all spread out over the weekend. Bonfire Night Events In Kent

Gravesend Fireworks

Where: Commercial Place, Gravesend
When: Friday 3rd November, 5pm-10pm

A free firework display that will run alongside the Riverside Leisure Area in Gravesend. Whilst the fireworks don’t start until 8pm, there’s a funfair to enjoy from 5pm and even a disco, for those that love to dance the night away!

Benenden Bonfire and Fireworks

Where: Glebe Field, Benenden
When: Saturday 4th November, 5:30pm-9:30pm

A beautiful and family friendly firework display. You can expect reasonably priced tickets, delicious snacks, and a real community feel.

Edenbridge Bonfire Night

Where: Edenbridge town centre and recreation ground
When: Saturday 4th November, 6:30pm

A burning bonfire, awe inspiring fireworks, and fascinating processions through the streets of Edenbridge. This is one of Kent’s most popular Bonfire Night events, and it’s one not to miss.

Quex Park Disney and Fireworks Night

Where: Quex Park, Birchington
When: Saturday 4th November, 6:15pm

This is the ultimate Bonfire Night event for those with little ones. There’s late night shopping, stands selling gifts and refreshments, a funfair and Disney characters for the kids to meet and greet. And that’s before the fireworks have even started!

Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular

Where: Leeds Castle
When: Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November, 2pm onwards

One of Kent’s most impressive Bonfire Night events, you can watch amazing fireworks in the castle grounds. There’s also live music throughout the day, falconry displays, a maze, and play areas for the children.
